Biased Coverage of Integrative Medicine Lingers

“In September, the University of California at Irvine received the largest gift in its history: $200 million to establish a ‘College of Health Sciences focused on interdisciplinary integrative health … regrettably, the resulting news coverage reinforced the limited understanding that newsrooms large and small have about this important trend.”

Thanks for the Center for Health Journalism at the Annenberg School at USC for the opportunity to provide some contemporary perspective to the — by now — ludicrous harangues that greeted the news of the UC Irvine gift.
